Description

Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare monthly financial statements, including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash Flows for Senior Management review.

+ Ensure all accounts are reconciled timely and accurately to the General Ledger.

+ Complete monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.

+ Assist in preparing annual farm field costing.

+ Prepare monthly farm and collection activity Work-in-Process (WIP) reconciliations and verify balances are appropriate based on uncleaned seed inventory.

+ Take ownership of the month-end closing process and ensure timely completion for all divisions.

+ Maintain the Fixed Asset list, including tracking acquisitions and disposals.

+ Prepare and file sales tax returns in all applicable states.

+ Perform ongoing review of company accounting policies and procedures; recommend and implement improvements.

+ Ensure adherence to all company accounting and finance policies and procedures.

+ Monitor timely completion of all accounting functions to support financial statement completion in alignment with the published financial close calendar.

+ Prepare supporting documentation for external auditors and collaborate closely with auditors during year-end audits.

+ Complete additional projects as requested by Senior Management.
