    Description

    Our manufacturing company is a leader in delivering high-quality industrial products and is dedicated to operational excellence. We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our Finance and Accounting team. This is a key role supporting a diverse workforce of both non-exempt and exempt employees and ensuring compliant, timely payroll processing in a fast-paced environment.

     

    + Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 500 employees, including both non-exempt (hourly) and exempt (salaried) staff.

    + Administer payroll activities using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring accuracy in timekeeping, wage calculations, deductions, and reporting.

    + Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.

    + Calculate and process payroll taxes, benefit deductions, and employee garnishments as required.

    + Review payroll data for errors and resolve discrepancies efficiently.

    + Prepare and maintain payroll records, reports, and documentation for audits.

    + Collaborate with HR, Accounting, and Operations teams to ensure smooth transfer of payroll data and updates.

    + Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, taxation, and deductions.

    + Stay updated on payroll best practices and regulatory requirements, recommending process improvements.

    Requirements

    + 3+ years of payroll experience, preferably in a manufacturing or similar environment.

    + Strong hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now payroll system.

    + Proven ability to handle payroll for large workforce (500+ employees) covering both exempt and non-exempt roles.

    + Solid understanding of payroll tax processing, reporting, and multi-state compliance.

    + Direct experience with wage garnishments and related legal requirements.

    + Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

    + Strong communication and organizational skills.

    + Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
