Description

A growing organization in Escondido is seeking a well-rounded Accounting Specialist to support both accounts receivable and general accounting functions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day and wants exposure beyond a single accounting function. You will work closely with accounting leadership to ensure accurate financial records, timely reconciliations, and smooth month-end close processes.

Key Responsibilities

+ Support AR and AP functions including invoicing, payment posting, and vendor processing

+ Prepare journal entries related to accruals, prepaids, and corrections

+ Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations

+ Assist with month-end and year-end close activities

+ Maintain accurate general ledger records

+ Support audit preparation and documentation requests

+ Assist with financial reporting and ad hoc analysis

Requirements

+ Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

+ 3–5 years of general accounting experience

+ Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliations

+ Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems

+ Highly organized with strong analytical skills

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
