Description

We are partnering with a growing financial institution to identify an experienced Financial Controller who can lead accounting operations and play a key role in their continued success.

About the Role

This is a high-impact leadership position responsible for all accounting operations—daily, monthly, and quarterly—while managing a team and serving as the face of the accounting function across the organization. You’ll oversee financial reporting, compliance, and controls, while collaborating with senior leadership on strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

+ Lead all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and purchasing.

+ Manage and mentor a team (directly 3, indirectly a larger group).

+ Ensure GAAP compliance and regulatory reporting accuracy.

+ Drive process improvements and implement policies and systems.

+ Prepare and present financial reports to executive leadership.

+ Partner cross-functionally to support organizational goals.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

+ 15+ years of experience in accounting leadership.

+ Experience in a large, complex financial organization (please include prior group size in your application).

+ Forward-thinking, personable leader with strong communication skills.

+ Proven ability to mentor and develop teams.

+ CPA or advanced degree preferred.
