Deployment Specialist Job Description Summary:
+ D&G is seeking a Deployment Specialist to support the personnel deployment management and operational coordination for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Logistics Operations (J3) team. This role supports global mission requirements by assisting with planning, coordination, execution, and tracking of personnel deployments in support of contingency and operational needs. The Deployment Specialist plays a key role in ensuring DLA personnel are properly mobilized, supported, and accounted for throughout the entire deployment lifecycle, including pre-deployment preparation, deployment execution, and post-deployment activities. This position requires a strong understanding of deployment policies, regulatory compliance, and coordination across multiple stakeholders. The Successful candidate will provide operational and administrative support by assisting in the development of deployment policies and procedures, coordinating with internal and external partners, and preparing accurate reports and briefings for leadership.
Roles & Responsibilities:
+ Assist with developing policies and procedures for the mobilization of DLA personnel in support of global requirements.
+ Support the recruiting, scheduling, coordination, and tracking of deployers throughout the full deployment cycle (pre-deployment, deployment, and post deployment).
+ Coordinate with ODTAs, FDTAs, and other stakeholders to ensure deployment related travel and financial actions comply with applicable government and agency regulations.
+ Prepare and submit deployment-related deliverables, including reports, meeting minutes, deployment tracking data, budgeting spreadsheets, and briefing materials.
+ Maintain accurate deployment records and databases to support operational readiness and reporting requirements.
Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Logistics, Public Administration, or a related or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
+ 3 years of relevant experience, including specialized experience with Defense Travel System (DTS) and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, supporting deployment operations, travel coordination, or program administration.
