Accounts Payable Specialist (HYBRID)

Contract Duration: 6–12 months

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to provide immediate support at our Schenectady, NY site. This temporary role is critical to transitioning vendor payment methods from check to ACH and ensuring compliance with AP and Purchasing procedures. You will work closely with a small, collaborative team during a major SAP S4/HANA implementation and vendor ACH conversion project.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Process and manage payment method changes from check to ACH

+ Support Accounts Payable and Purchasing teams with:

+ Invoice matching

+ GRIR (Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt) reconciliation

+ Ensure AP and Purchasing procedures remain accurate and up to date

+ Assist with vendor management and invoice processing

+ Collaborate with team members during SAP S4/HANA implementation

Required Skills & Qualifications:

+ 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience

+ Strong knowledge of invoice matching and ACH payment processes

+ Familiarity with AP/Purchasing workflows

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)

+ Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills:

+ Experience with SAP or other ERP systems

+ Understanding of three-way matching

+ Knowledge of vendor management and reconciliation processes

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Schenectady, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.
