    The Elevator Pitch

Evolv is seeking a growth-minded Product Leader to accelerate the expansion of the eXpedite™ production line, our concealed-weapon and prohibited-item detection platform. Not only will this leader have the technical fluency, business instinct, and disciplined product execution required to elevate our product roadmap, but they will also be able to translate market insights into scalable R&D investment for future bag-screening products. This is not a sustainment role; this is a market-creating, category-defining product leadership growth opportunity.

We need someone with experience in X-ray imaging and detection technology, this is a requirement for this role. This role has a dual mandate: First, drive adoption of our current products across verticals by finding gaps in the solution and new nuances that expand our reach in existing markets. Second, define new product requirements that solve customer problems without the constraints of our existing technology—opening adjacent markets where we can win.

To do this effectively, you need credibility with our R&D team to make the right trade-offs between detection accuracy, reliability, cost, and manufacturability. The ideal candidate understands core engineering—hardware, software, embedded systems, and applied AI, well enough to influence product decisions that matter.

We're looking for someone laser-focused on customer value who brings systems thinking, works peer-to-peer with R&D, thrives in ambiguity, and knows how to commercialize technology in new markets. Structured thinking, bias for action, long-term growth mindset.

Success in the Role: What are performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

Success as our Product Leader of eXpedite will require developing deep credibility with our R&D team and a driving force behind market expansion. You will translate imaging science and system behavior into commercial advantage, ensuring product decisions accelerate adoption across various business verticals.

You bring experience in x-ray imaging, computed tomography imaging, detector behavior, embedded systems, and system calibration, enabling you to effectively guide design trade offs, shape algorithmic investment and influence architecture choices that impact detection accuracy, reliability, throughput and cost.

Within 30 days: Build Context & Establish Alignment:

+ Gain a clear understanding of the eXpedite™ system, including core capabilities, system behavior, and active engineering priorities.

+ Meet with customers and observe eXpedite in live environments to understand how product performance impacts security operations and customer return on investment

+ Support a go-live installation to gain first-hand insight into deployment success factors and customer pain points

+ Present a brief to leadership outlining initial impression of the market and product improvement opportunities aligned to customer impact

+ Build strong relationships across the sales, customer enablement, support, service, and research & development organizations to understand internal product perspectives

+ Refine the product roadmap to prioritize initiatives focused on customer satisfaction, product reliability, and cost reduction

By 90 days: Validate Opportunities & Shape the Roadmap

+ Refine and publish an updated product roadmap focused on improvements that support reliability, scalability, and entry into target verticals.

+ Deliver a Market & Use Case Brief summarizing workflows, buying criteria, competitive alternatives and highest value opportunities in new commercial segments

+ Draft requirements and success criteria for at least one meaningful product improvement or new capability

+ Present a 90 Day Prioritization Review to leadership to confirm alignment on direction, scope, and targets

By 120 Days: Deliver Impact & Enable Growth

+ Deliver and validate at least one high-impact roadmap initiative that improves performance, reliability, throughput, usability, or cost.

+ Lead the successful field testing of a new feature update

+ Launch a new version of eXpedite software and enable internal teams and partners to sell and support the update effectively

+ Establish a scalable learning loop to educate internal and partner field teams as well as customers on the new features in the launch, while also synthesizing feedback from customers, field teams, reliability data and engineering into ongoing roadmap decisions

+ Produce a commercial readiness package including positioning, value proposition guidance, use-case fit and pricing recommendations for new target vertical

+ Be recognized as the go-to product leader for eXpedite—driving cross-functional alignment and delivering against performance metrics like NPS, renewal rate, and time-to-resolution

The Work: What will you do everyday?

As Product Leader, you’ll drive product strategy and execution from concept to launch, ensuring technical feasibility, customer value, and business impact. You’ll shape the roadmap, prioritizing high-impact investments and collaborating deeply with R&D to turn market insights into technical differentiation.

+ Guides R&D teams in design trade-off decisions by leveraging your understanding of x-ray system performance, detector behavior, and image reconstruction principles.

+ Partners closely with hardware, firmware, and AI teams to ensure cohesive system design and high product reliability.

+ Drive SKU strategy, pricing, packaging and positioning for commercial scalability

+ Ensures compliance with relevant security, radiation, and regional certification requirements to support global market expansion.

    Technical Credibility and Influence

+ Demonstrates deep understanding of x-ray imaging fundamentals including beam geometry, detector physics, and image reconstruction to guide data-driven design decisions.

+ Serves as a trusted partner to R&D, bridging system physics, algorithmic design, engineering constraints and customer useability

+ Prioritizes features that meaningfully improve detection accuracy, reduce false alarms, improve operator experience and enhance system reliability.

+ Leads field testing, third-party validation, and change control to ensure high-quality, reliable product releases.

+ Analyzes field performance and calibration data to identify root causes and opportunities for improvement.

+ Collaborates with R&D to validate new algorithms or hardware adjustments impacting x-ray image quality and system throughput.

+ Writes detailed release notes and monitor post-launch adoption, performance, and issue resolution to ensure product success in the field.

    Cross-Functional & Customer Collaboration
