    We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team!

The Business and Industry Solutions (BIS) team is looking for a Software Engineer to drive innovation at the intersection of AI and enterprise systems. In this role, you will design and develop autonomous agents for enterprise customers. You’ll collaborate across engineering, product, and partner teams to ensure agents are performant, secure, reliable, and extensible—empowering customers and partners to build on our platform.     Responsibilities

    + Design and Develop: Build robust, scalable services and APIs using modern frameworks to power Copilot experiences.

    + AI Integration: Work with LLMs and orchestration frameworks to deliver contextual, long-running chat experiences and agentic workflows.

    + Enterprise Extensibility: Implement connectors and integration patterns for M365 Copilot , Financial Systems and external ERPs.

    + Performance and Reliability: Optimize backend systems for low latency, high throughput, and resilience using telemetry and observability tools and AI Evaluations(Kusto, Azure Monitor, etc).

    + Security and Compliance: Ensure solutions meet Microsoft’s security, privacy, and compliance standards for enterprise customers.

    + Collaboration: Partner with PMs, designers, and data scientists to deliver end-to-end features, from ideation to production.

    + Innovation: Explore emerging technologies (LLMs, M365 Copilot, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform, etc) to enhance Copilot capabilities.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

    + OR equivalent experience.

    + 2+ years of experience with strong technical skills including understanding of object-oriented programming & design, algorithms, database concepts & performance, and microservice architecture.

    + 2+ years hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying generative AI applications (e.g., LLM-powered copilots, agentic workflows, or AI-driven automation) in production environments.

    **Other Requirements:** Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

    + **Microsoft Cloud Background Check:** This position will be required to pass the

    + Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. “

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field, OR equivalent alternative education and practical experience.

    + 5+ years of professional software development experience, including 3+ years architecting and delivering cloud-based SaaS solutions at scale.

    + Demonstrated expertise in integrating LLMs, orchestration frameworks, and AI evaluation pipelines (e.g., Kusto, Azure Monitor) into enterprise-grade solutions.

    + Track record of technical leadership: mentoring engineers, driving architectural decisions, and influencing cross-team initiatives.

    + 3+ years experience building extensible platforms or connectors for Microsoft 365, Dynamics, or external ERP/financial systems.

    + Deep understanding of secure software development, privacy, and compliance in enterprise cloud environments.

    + Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

    + Demonstrable coding, debugging, design, testing and problem-solving skills.

    + Strong coding skills in C#, .NET, or equivalent languages.

    + Experience with cloud services.

    + Familiarity with REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.

     

    Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.

    Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
