    Interfor is seeking motivated and safety-conscious individuals to join our **Sawmill Production Team** in **Thomaston** , **GA** . The successful candidates will be reliable, committed, and eager to grow into various positions, including general labor, machine operator and forklift operator positions. The starting rate for this position is $18.58 per hour with the potential to grow to $27.82 per hour based on skill level and experience. This is a night shift position supporting operations in the Planer Mill.

    What You’ll Do

    + Complete clean-up and ground maintenance of regularly assigned area.

    + Assist with keeping a steady flow of lumber throughout the mill by straightening lumber cross-ups using a pickaxe or chain saw, as necessary.

    + Develop skills across various machine centers and take on new responsibilities as you grow within the company.

    + Perform any other work-related task deemed necessary by the supervisor.

    What You Offer

    + High School Diploma/Equivalent Preferred.

    + Prior manufacturing/warehouse/lumber operations experience preferred.

    + Able and willing to work in varying seasonal climate conditions.

    + Demonstrated commitment to safety.

    + Physical Requirements: Walking, standing, climbing, bending and lifting up to 50 lbs.
