Our client, a leading petrochemical and manufacturing company, is seeking a Technical Writer II – Manufacturing & Petrochemical Documentation ( Houston, TX) to join their team. As a Technical Writer II, you will be part of the Engineering and Operations department supporting Production and Engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Job Title:** Technical Writer II – Manufacturing & Petrochemical Documentation

**Location:** Houston, TX

**Pay Range:** $24.24/hour

What’s the Job?

+ Develop, write, and edit technical manuals, operating procedures, and training materials.

+ Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to capture process knowledge and production methods.

+ Review P&IDs, PFDs, drawings, and specifications to integrate into procedures and training materials.

+ Prepare and organize documentation according to clarity, conciseness, style, and company standards.

+ Select or create illustrations, diagrams, photos, and charts to support technical content.

What’s Needed?

+ 10+ years of technical writing experience in petrochemical/refinery or manufacturing environments.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, and TruView.

+ Experience reading and interpreting P&IDs, PFDs, and other technical documentation.

+ Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with site SMEs.

+ Detail-oriented, self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision.
