Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Computer Technician to join their dynamic team. As a Field Computer Technician, you will be an essential part of the support department, providing technical assistance and ensuring the seamless operation of computer and telecommunication systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude, which will enable you to thrive in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
Job Title: Field Computer Technician
Duration: 6+ months contract to hire
What's the Job?
+ Perform equipment exchanges and record inventory controls to maintain accurate asset management.
+ Install software updates and troubleshoot hardware and software issues on computer and telecommunication systems.
+ Provide user training on supported hardware and software, ensuring users understand technology from both user and technical perspectives.
+ Assist users in resolving computer-related problems, including hardware malfunctions and software errors.
+ Travel locally using personal vehicle to support technology infrastructure at various UPS locations and customer sites.
What's Needed?
+ Associate's Degree in Computer Science or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
+ A+ certification required.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Access, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize daily tasks efficiently.
