Summary YOU WILL SERVE AS AN ELECTRONICS MECHANIC LEADER IN THE COMMANDING OFFICER, MRO PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT, PRODUCTION LINES DIVISION OF FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST. Responsibilities You will lead artisans who perform the full range of electrical, electronic and avionic mechanic duties at depot level. You will demonstrate and instruct workers on the proper work methods and ensure that needed plans, blueprints, materials and tools are available. You will ensure that needed plans, blueprints, materials, and tools are available. You will pass on instructions received from a supervisor to other workers, get the job started and work along with other employees and set the pace. You will coordinate pilot overhaul actions and provide technical assistance to personnel working on pilot overhaul tasks. You will ensure that safety and housekeeping rules are followed and keep the supervisor informed on the status and progress of work. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO LEAD OR SUPERVISE I have the ability to independently perform the most difficult and complex tasks as an expert or have been consulted by other employees in difficult situations performing duties including 1) The incumbent will lead artisans who perform the full range of electrical, electronic, and avionic mechanic duties, performing Depot Level overhaul, repair, modification, testing, troubleshooting, alignment, and integration of numerous integral components into complete and complex electronic airborne, avionics, and communication systems. 2) Incumbent is a highly skilled artisan working in a mission ready team, performs duties of the trade with minimal direct supervision on electronic integrated systems and related electrical systems. 3) Performs installation, functional operation, trouble analysis, and final alignment of integrated communication navigation- identification systems where the complex accomplishes a number of major functions in a wide variety of aircraft. 4) Must have a comprehensive knowledge of advanced principles in electronics to logically analyze faults and errors, overhaul, rebuild, align, and adjust complete multi-systems such as the electronic package in highly automated aircraft where tactical data transmission and other complex functions are performed by numerous systems which are extensively interconnected with data feedback loops. 5) Applied comprehensive knowledge on all major units of the complete systems function and interaction. 6) Must have expertise in cable repair and manufacturing.
