Minimum qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.

+ Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).

+ 14 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 12 years with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.

+ Experience building, developing, or leading a team.

+ Experience with revenue recognition and ASC 606 guidelines.

Preferred qualifications:

+ Experience working in a technical accounting or similar role at the SEC or FASB.

+ Ability to have a collaborative style and work with cross-functional and international teams.

+ Ability to sponsor and oversee the management of a portfolio of projects and programs.

+ Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work with minimal guidance and in a team environment.

As a member of the Google Tower within the Alphabet Technical Accounting team, you are at the forefront of navigating accounting guidance for arrangements. You partner and collaborate to understand go-to-market offerings and constructs. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $198,000-$279,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

+ Conduct technical research on accounting issues and provide accounting consultation advice to business partners under US GAAP.

+ Lead the implementation of the new U.S. GAAP accounting standards, including working with various cross-functional stakeholders.

+ Draft and maintain global accounting policies and memos.

+ Keep business partners informed of developments in accounting and financial reporting through issuance of publications, facilitation of training sessions and meeting forums, and drafting of comment letters to standard setters.
