Special Education Teacher – School Setting
Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, the Special Education Teacher provides high-quality services to students in grades K–12. This role requires a strong commitment to collaborative planning and implementation of individualized student programs, including specialized instruction, tutorial support, and consultation with general education staff.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)
+ Valid state teaching certificate as required by state and district regulations
+ Minimum of one year of teaching experience (preferred)
+ State Teacher Certification:
+ Standard Elementary Teaching (preferred)
+ Standard Secondary Teaching (preferred)
+ Standard Special Education Teaching (preferred)
+ Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)
+ TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)
+ Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
Position Details:
+ Location: Santa Maria, CA
+ Start Date: ASAP
+ Contract Length: 2025–2026 School Year
+ Schedule: Monday–Friday
+ Hours per Week: 37.5
+ Grade Levels: TK–8
+ Setting: In-person only
+ Certifications Required: CA Mild/Moderate Credential
Pay Details:
+ Local Pay Rate: $60/hour (negotiable)
+ Travel Weekly Pay: Approx. $2,829 gross
