    Special Education Teacher – $55/hr – Calumet City, IL – Full-Time

    Position Overview:

    Amergis is seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide services for early childhood students in a Pre-K setting. The teacher will float between two Pre-K schools Monday–Wednesday and participate in meetings Thursday–Friday to create goals and support individualized programs.

    Assignment Details:

    + Location: Calumet City, IL

    + Start Date: January 5, 2026

    + End Date: End of school year

    + Schedule: 32.5 hours/week (Monday–Friday, 8:50 AM – 3:40 PM; 30-min unpaid break)

    + Modality: In-person

    + Pay Rate: $55/hr

    + Contract Length: 20 Weeks

    + Caseload: 28 students across two Pre-K classes

    + Duties: Special instruction, IEP goal development, collaboration with educational teams

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Valid Illinois teaching certificate with LBS1 and ECE endorsement

    + Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)

    + Minimum of one year teaching experience (preferred)

    + CPR certification (if applicable)

    + TB screening and health clearance

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

    + Must be at least 18 years of age
