Description
The Assistant Manager, Talent is responsible for working across various assigned team projects, across both program development and execution. Majority of the work will be execution focuses across talent initiatives/projects under senior team members' guidance, as well as contributing to program development.
Daily responsibilities include workstream management, this includes workstream planning, tracking, status reporting, data analysis, insights gathering, and ongoing communication with stakeholders. The Assistant Manager is also responsible for assisting senior talent team members with research, content generation, and communication across projects. He/she will liaise and collaborate directly with various teams and other external stakeholders to ensure workstream milestones are kept on track, key delilverables/deadlines are met, and any concerns/issues are flagged. In addition, he/she is expected to problem solve and think through potential mitigating solutions. The Assistant Manager will provide meaningful contribution to the overall content development and execution of projects.
35% Problem Solving - Empowered to problem solve as it relates to workstream execution. Problems are related to workstream planning, tracking, status reporting, pulling data, review of data, and preparing comms or training materials.
20% Decision Making - Direction is primarily set by VP and ED of Global Talent with incremental input from more senior Talent team memmbers. The Assistant Manager of Global Talent is encouraged to thoughtfully seize opportunities to assist team members with incremental decisions and with intelligence/content generation, ultimately helping to align projects, processes and other workstreams with the overall vision of the Talent COE and HR. Day-to-day decisions will be on project execution.
35% Independence of Action and Accountability - working independently under the direction of more senior Talent COE team members. Assist senior team members with project execution. Leads workstream activities and execution.
5% Leadership - Some coaching responsibility to coach more junior team members as it relates to execution.
0% Budget Responsibility - No budget responsibility.
Qualifications
+ 3-5 years of talent development or related Human Resources experiences required
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.) is exected
+ Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and superior organizational skills are required
+ Project management, collaboration, and stakeholder management are required
+ Excellent verbal and wirtten communication skills as well as ease with analyzing/understanding data
+ Comfort working in a global organization
+ Four-year Bachelor's degree is required
