    Horizon Roofing (New Hope, MN)


    ### Job Duties

    - Assist experienced crew members with installing and repairing commercial roofing systems, flashings, and roof surfaces.

     

    - Remove old roofing materials and prepare roofs for new installation (tear-off, sweeping, cleaning).

     

    - Load and unload roofing materials and equipment.

     

    - Lay insulation, glue, prime, roll walls and seams, and nail off roof edges.

     

    - Install reinforced perimeter strips and follow fastening pattern layouts.

     

    - Use and operate rooftop equipment, power tools, and other required tools.

     

    - Perform induction welding for TPO or PVC roofing systems (or learn on the job).

     

    - Maintain clean work areas, grounds, and equipment.

     

    - Assist with daily project tasks as directed by the Foreman and crew leads.

     

    - Communicate clearly with team members to complete daily goals.

     

    - Work safely at heights and follow all company safety practices.

     

    - Work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.

     

    - Occasionally work weekends if needed.

     

    ### Minimum Education Required

    High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred but not required

     

    ### Minimum Experience Required

    - No prior roofing experience required — entry-level position.

     

    - Must be able to climb ladders and work comfortably at heights.

     

    - Must be physically able to perform strenuous labor in varying weather conditions.

     

    - Must pass pre-employment screening (physical, drug test, and background check).

     

    - Must be hardworking, safety-minded, dependable, and able to follow instructions.

     

    - Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn roofing skills.
