Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.
+ Seven (7) or more years’ experience in building (structural) trades roles, including a minimum of three (3) or more years as a line (direct) supervisor.
+ Proven leadership and team management experience overseeing crews and delegating tasks.
+ Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, building codes, and safety regulations.
+ Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, and track labor, materials, and equipment usage.
+ Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in related field.
+ Previous work experience in a higher education environment.
+ Experience using AIM IWMS by Asset Works.
Job Description
Responsible for overseeing the facility maintenance operations to ensure campus buildings are safe, functional, and well-maintained.
Job Duties
+ Supervise and monitor activities of Facilities Operations Building Trades Supervisors.
+ Provide management oversight of building trades activities throughout campus.
+ Review project plans and related documents for content accuracy, compliance with, building codes, University construction standards, environmental, and safety regulations.
+ Manage PM program for building trades to maximize facilities asset lifecycle and avoid unplanned downtimes.
+ Assist associate director in assessing building structures systems for capital renewal and major repair and replacement initiatives.
+ Comply with all state and university policies.
+ Operate a university vehicle
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Information to Applicants
Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License and maintain eligibility to drive a university vehicle pursuant to the University’s Driver Selection Policy. Required to carry a cell phone and be available in emergent situations.
