Early Careers Transmission Line Engineer
This Opportunity
POWER Engineers, Member of WSP, is currently initiating a search for an Early Careers Civil/Structural Engineer for our Orlando, Florida office. Be involved in projects with our Power Delivery Overhead Transmission Line Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients’ objectives and solves their challenges.
Your Impact
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
• The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of transmission line design for new lines, relocations, upgrades, and fiber optic additions.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
• BSCE (Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering) degree from an accredited university
• The candidate must have a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel
• Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite
+ 0-1 years of experience
Preferred Qualifications
• Minimum 2.75 Grade Point Average (GPA)
• Ideal coursework includes structural analysis, concrete design, steel design, soil mechanics, foundation design, and surveying
• Previous engineering design or drafting work experience, especially if related to civil and/or structural engineering, is desirable
• Engineer In Training (EIT) registration is desired
