Senior Field Services Engineer - REMOTE
Honeywell LNG is a leading provider of natural gas liquefaction technology and equipment. To maintain this leading position, the LNG business relies heavily on LNG start-up and field support expertise. An exciting opportunity is now open for a Field Services Engineer to support this growth market both domestically in North America and internationally. The position is for an experienced person with an extensive breadth of skills including field and safety responsibility with the ability to effectively communicate with the home office and with our customers. Expected travel could be as high as 70% with a combination of field work and engineering project development in offices in some of the great cities of the world including London, Paris, Houston, Rome, Milan, and Yokohama. Countries with LNG production sites which we support are in Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Nigeria, Qatar, UAE, Mexico, Canada, USA, Mozambique and Algeria.
As this posting is for a Lead Project Engineering role, it is expected that the candidate will have significant field experience and knowledge to skillfully interact with front end engineering development and operations staff. This role requires the ability to speak with strong engineering fundamentals. It is expected that this person will identify sales opportunities which they must convey back to the commercial team.
LNG Field Service Engineering responsibilities are split between field and office activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Field Work:
• Advisory services for the transportation and installation of Honeywell LNG supplied equipment with construction advisory support
• Participate in Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR)
• Commissioning and start-up of new LNG facilities
• Field management of small 5-to-10-member repair teams responsible for safety while functioning and the liaison between the Honeywell home office and our customers (NLNG, Qatar Energy, ADNOC, Total, etc.)
• LNG facilities operational support including performance optimization, plant troubleshooting, turnarounds, and restarts
Office Work:
• Operating and commissioning procedure development
• Operator training development and presentation
• Development of new LNG process cycles including control schemes
• Participation in the design and engineering of new LNG facilities including P&ID development, 3-D model reviews, HAZOP and LOPA reviews
• Review and approval of LNG deliverables

YOU MUST HAVE
+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
+ 7+ years in industry with at least 7 years of field experience
+ Ability to travel greater than 70% of the time domestically and internationally
+ Highly efficient worker with a focus on continuous improvement and documentation of work practices
+ Operational safety focus including confined space entries and working from heights
+ Understanding of site work permits and procedures

BOSIET certification is not a prerequisite. It will be provided if necessary.
• Bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering with the ability to run simulations
• Strong cross-functional team leadership and organization skills
• Leadership skills to lead technical discussions with clients
• The ability to understand a wide array of plant disciplines including machinery, instrumentation, piping, mechanical, process controls, instrumentation and process engineering
• Comfort acting as the focal point of contact between our customer’s plant management and the Honeywell LNG Engineering home office staff
• Understanding of site work permitting and procedures
• High proficiency in written and spoken English
• High proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Bluebeam
