Position Summary
East House is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to supporting individuals on their journey to recovery. We provide comprehensive services, including residential support, counseling, peer support and community outreach to empower individuals to overcome mental health and substance use disorders and lead fulfilling lives. Our mission is to foster a supportive environment that promotes healing and long-term recovery.
The Assistant Program Manager provides direct supervision to residential staff in collaboration with the Program Manager. This position assists with all aspects of site operations, including monitoring staff compliance, documentation, ensuring adherence to agency policy and procedures, and promoting an environment that supports client goals and recovery.
Responsibilities
+ Provide day-to-day supervision, support, and scheduling for Residential Advisors and Peer Support Specialists.
+ Monitor daily documentation and shift notes for accuracy and completeness.
+ Conduct regular supervision and team meetings.
+ Participate in hiring and onboarding of new staff.
+ Support and ensure compliance with individual service plans.
+ Monitor the physical site, including cleanliness, safety, and necessary maintenance.
+ Participate in incident review, response, and follow-up.
+ Facilitate group activities that support recovery and independent living.
+ Assist clients with activities of daily living as needed.
+ Maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Other
+ Ensures compliance with policies, federal and state regulations.
+ Collaborates with the Office of Ethics, Compliance & Quality on identifying and correcting non-compliance.

Working Conditions/Work Environment
Traditional office environment. Occasionally subjected to pressure due to time demands. Travel within the greater Rochester area. Potential for travel outside of Monroe County.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
+ Associate’s degree in a human services–related fieldandtwo (2) years of related experience
OR
+ Equivalent experience in lieu of education may be considered
Licensure/Certification Requirements
+ NYS motor vehicle license, safe driving record and availability of personal vehicle for work.
+ OASAS licensed programs: Advanced Counselor CASAC or other QHP as defined by OASAS Operating Regulations required.
+ Supervisory experience preferred.
