Job Purpose & Scope
Responsible for leading and overseeing data activities that continually improve the quality, depth, and breadth of the data to enhance business decisions that support the goals, objectives and data strategy of Data Risk Management and Bank OZK.
Essential Job Functions
+ Manages staff to include staffing, assigning and delegating work, training, mentoring, and coaching. Conducts performance reviews and fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
+ Oversee deliverables, milestones, timelines, and project assignments in support of Data Risk Management activities.
+ Manages team and program performance to ensure data risk initiatives are effectively executed with purpose.
+ Reviews, challenges and performs quality check of quarterly reporting and risk appetite materials for Data Risk Management.
+ Provides support to staff when completing the end-to-end Issue management process with data stakeholders.
+ Verifies that issue updates are made timely within the GRC tool and that issue reporting is accurate. Enhances the data issue process development where necessary.
+ Oversees and manages the Atlan Data Catalog, including coordination with data stewards, enrichment of metadata, lineage attestations, and glossary creation/updates.
+ Monitors and reports on data steward engagement within the Atlan Catalog and design actionable plans to gain participation.
+ Assists DRM team and enterprise users with Atlan functionality.
+ Leads remediation efforts to resolve data quality failures within data risk management reporting.
+ Partners with multiple data stewards on complex data matters related to governance, remediation, and general to data risk.
+ Responsible for leading quarterly Data Steward forums.
+ Develops and reviews written procedures, training materials, and communications for all information encompassing data changes
+ Maintains and updates data risk management procedural inventory and updates as necessary.
+ Executes and communicates DRM program requirements and expectations.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
+ Comprehensive knowledge of Snowflake data platform.
+ Comprehensive knowledge of SQL Server database.
+ Comprehensive knowledge of R/Python/SAS programming language.
+ Comprehensive knowledge of assigned line of business processes, data sets, and underlying system of record(s)data.
+ Ability to effectively analyze and assess the quality of data across various data sources.
+ Ability to conduct data audits and perform data profiling on recurring and ad-hoc basis.
+ Ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment in decision making and maintain confidentiality.
+ Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
+ Ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of management, internal or external partners and vendors.
+ Ability to demonstrate effective leadership skills and foster a highly collaborative and innovative team culture.
+ Ability to build relationships and influence across diverse groups of stakeholders.
+ Ability to assess needs and generate business intelligence reports and/or queries from databases.

Basic Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in business, data analytics, risk management, or other related field, or commensurate work experience, required.
+ 7+ years of experience in risk management, data management, compliance, audit, or related, required. Experience in information technology or data environments preferred.
+ 3+ years of experience in program management or project management, required.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ + 2+ years of work experience in leading, managing or supervising others, preferred.
