    The Manager of Continuous Improvement and HSE at the Lakeland facility is a pivotal leadership role responsible for executing the annual operating plan focused on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People.

     

    This role involves spearheading Relentless Continuous Improvement (RCI) initiatives, fostering a culture of learning and sustainable results through Lean methodologies, and sharing best practices across sites. The position also entails active leadership in safety compliance, ensuring adherence to OSHA regulations, and promoting health and safety awareness. Additionally, the Manager oversees the preventative maintenance of the facility, ensuring efficient operation and compliance with environmental, health, and security standards.

     

    This role provides a unique opportunity to shape the facility's continuous improvement journey, develop strategic roadmaps, and coach teams in implementing improvement plans.

     

    The Opportunity ...

     

    + Key Responsibilities:

    + Utilize Lean and CI methodologies to drive a culture of learning and ongoing improvement.

    + Develop, execute, and maintain a CI plan in collaboration with the leadership team to support process improvements.

    + Identify and execute projects within the Value Stream.

    + Build relationships with stakeholders to understand processes and challenges.

    + Coordinate with senior leaders to identify improvement opportunities and develop justifications for potential cost savings.

    + Lead company-wide efforts to establish and improve key performance indicators such as manufacturing OEE, product quality, waste reduction, and more.

    + Ensure performance management metrics aligned with CI activities reflect improvement and sustainment.

    + Report CI activities, plans, and results to the Senior Leadership Team.

    + Lead Kaizen Events and train leadership teams in Lean principles.

    + Conduct analysis and utilize value stream mapping for troubleshooting and workflow optimization.

    + Foster and drive the development of CI teams.

    + Lead safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.

    + Maintain and update preventative maintenance schedules and oversee facility maintenance.

    + Participate in risk management and safety compliance initiatives.

    Position Requirements:

    + Education:

    + Mandatory: Bachelor's Degree

    + Preferred: Bachelor's of Science Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering

    + Skills and Experience:

    + Mandatory:

    + Three years in a Manufacturing environment

    + Strong experience with Lean principles, training, and coaching

    + Experience in strategy deployment and Lean transformation

    + Proven experience leading CI projects

    + Recognized Lean training and certification (e.g., Lean Engineer or Black Belt)

    + Microsoft Office proficiency

    + Preferred:

    + Greater than five years in a Manufacturing/Manufacturing Engineering environment

    + Knowledgeable in all aspects of manufacturing

    + Travel Requirements:

    + Valid driver's license and passport

    + Travel required up to 25% to visit suppliers and validate manufacturing processes
