    Job Summary:

    We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Manager, Aquatics to help lead our aquatics programs, ensuring safety, efficiency, and exceptional service for all members. In this role, you’ll assist in managing staff, enhancing program operations, and fostering a positive and welcoming aquatic environment.

    Responsibilities:

    + Recruit, interview, hire, train, and supervise Lifeguards, Swim Instructors, and Aquatics Service Desk Staff.

    + Conduct new staff orientation, ongoing training sessions, and performance reviews.

    + Act as the Pool Manager on Duty in the absence of the Aquatics Manager.

    + Develop and maintain schedules for Lifeguards, Swim Instructors, and Service Desk Staff, including coverage for special events.

    + Support Aquatics Desk staff in organizing administrative processes and delivering exceptional customer service.

    + Communicate schedule changes, pool temperature updates, and other key information to members and staff.

    + Focus on customer satisfaction by addressing and resolving member issues, complaints, and concerns promptly.

    + Ensure the overall efficiency of aquatics programs and recommend improvements to enhance member experiences.

    + Perform other duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of the aquatics programs.

    Qualifications:

    + At least 2 years of experience in aquatics, with 1 year in a supervisory role.

    + Strong knowledge of teaching progressions for both children and adults.

    + Current Red Cross certifications, including AED, CPR, First Aid, Coaches Water Safety, and Lifeguard Instructor.

    + Superior communication skills with the ability to relate to diverse populations.

    + High attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks.

    + Enthusiastic, responsible, and team-oriented with a passion for delivering excellent customer service.

     

    Per pay transparency requirements, the compensation for this position ranges from $22 - $30/hour. Minimum rates may vary based on local wage laws. Pay is dependent on factors including site location, specialty, certifications and work experience as well as other business needs. Exos offers a comprehensive benefits package for all full time employees (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements), which includes health insurance, life and disability benefits, 401(k) plan, and paid time off. Additionally, Exos offers a variety of part time benefits (subject to eligibility requirements).
