    Job Description

    Production Supervisor

     

    *This is a Safety Sensitive position. *

     

    Job Summary: The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the manufacture of IKO roofing shingles while maintaining high standards for safety and quality. This requires solid knowledge of high-speed manufacturing processes and the ability to engage and motivate employees.

    Job Responsibilities

    + Provide strong manufacturing leadership to engage employees and drive a productive work environment.

    + Promote a proactive safety culture; investigate near-misses, injuries, and hazards, and prepare reports.

    + Ensure compliance with Company and OSHA standards; conduct safety inspections and support safety programs.

    + Deliver training, cross-training, and employee development for safety, quality, and production procedures.

    + Lead regular crew meetings to communicate updates on safety, quality, production, and plant performance.

    + Collaborate with Supervisors to achieve plant SQDCP performance metrics.

    + Recommend and implement improvements to production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.

    + Partner with production and maintenance teams to resolve issues, eliminate root causes, and sustain corrective actions.

    + Evaluate employee performance and provide coaching to enhance skills.

    + Manage production scheduling, time and attendance in Workday, and prepare shift reports.

    Job Qualifications

    + High-speed manufacturing experience preferred.

    + Supervisory experience of 3-5 years

    + Strong interpersonal skills and leadership ability.

    + Excellent communication (written, verbal, presentation and listening) and analytical skills

    + Proven track record of operational improvement through employee engagement.

    + Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills.

    + Proficient in MS Office preferred.
