    Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a INTEGRATED PRIMARY PREVENTION OFFICER (PREV WF) TITLE 32 PERMANENT, Position Description Number D2639P01 and is part of the NH ARNG Command Section, National Guard. This vacancy is to gather applications that may or may not result in a referral or selection. Responsibilities This position serves as the Director of the Integrated Primary Prevention (IPP) Program. Responsible for the overall management, guidance, development, implementation and maintenance for the primary prevention of harm and other prohibited abuse and harmful acts. The IPP Director creates the homogenous link between stand-alone programs. Develops command guidance to implement an IPP program to improve personal resilience, connectedness, and well-being and enhance work/life balance for Service members and families. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is a Title 32 excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership in the military grade/rank listed in the announcement. Military Grade: 03 to 05 Compatibility: AOS/AFSC Immaterial Individual Occupational Requirements: (General/Educational Requirements) Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position that included at least 24 semester hours of course work in the behavioral or social sciences. or Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field that included at least 24 semester hours of course work in the behavioral or social sciences. or Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 12 months of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12). Experience, education or training analyzing problems, identifying significant factors, gathering pertinent data and recognizing solutions; preparing reports, plans, policies and various correspondence; evaluating objectives and develop plans to facilitate the availability and effective utilization of various social science resources. Must have knowledge of the organization and its mission and utilized the organizational staff procedures. Experience applying analytical and evaluative techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of social science program operations carried out by administrative or professional personnel, or substantive administrative support functions. Well Qualified applicant: Understanding of primary prevention, secondary prevention (intervention) and tertiary prevention (post intervention/post-vention). Prevention experience preferred In-depth knowledge of the programs, policies, and processes which drive Army National Guard (ARNG) and Air National Guard (ANG) drug deterrence, substance abuse, suicide post intervention and response efforts within the NHNG. Has used analytical and interpretive approaches to learning. Familiar with and has used quantitative data analysis methods. Have appropriate knowledge of the position that demonstrates knowledge of the behavioral or social sciences. Have supervisory experience to include providing performance ratings and feedback.
