• ICT Design Engineer

    Job Description

    * Data center ICT designs and collaboration with other disciplines to create a construction document set.

    * Creation of designs which meet or exceed our quality requirements and fall within our budgetary requirements.

    * Work with local agencies having jurisdiction to ensure compliance with federal, state and municipal requirements and building codes.

    * Review and approval of equipment and material submittals.

    * Define project scope and provide technical support for information requests prior to, and during construction phases.

    * Work with deployment and construction teams to validate installation, operation, and performance of ICT infrastructure and supporting systems.

    * Ability to work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical regions.

    * Travel to sites for site review and work with onsite field engineers, as well as provide engineering evaluations and ICT site audits as needed.

    * Having fun and offering creative, out of the box solutions.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    Open to remote - East Coast (open to anyone east coast) - VA or Seattle would convert

     

    Titles: ICT Design Engineer, ICT Connectivity Engineer, Communications Engineer, Network Infrastructure Engineer, Physical Layer Network Engineer

    Must Haves:

    5 years of ICT & telecomm total

     

    Fiber optics/related codes & standards

     

    Experience with supporting fibers, outside and inside plants

     

    Understand building code requirements

     

    Separation & diversity requirements

    RCDD Certification (telecomm equivelent for PE)

    2 years of data center or mission critical

     

    Reviewing RFI's & submittals

     

    Need to be reviewing models and looking at designs (construction piece important)
