• QA Automation Engineer

    Job Description

    Insight Global's client is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join their team. The engineer will be responsible for testing, analyzing, planning, and executing both manual and automated tests to validate the efficiency of database management systems. Responsibilities include designing and developing automation scripts, conducting regression tests to ensure that resolved bugs do not impact existing functionalities, and collaborating closely with developers, product owners, and other QA engineers. This role requires more than just executing test cases—the engineer must understand requirements and proactively create test cases and scenarios. The position is onsite four days a week and requires agility to switch between various projects as needed. The team uses Jira for ticket management and defect tracking, and TestRail for test case creation and documentation. Strong communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential for success in this role.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    4+ years of experience as a QA Analyst and/or engineer

     

    Experience with manual and test automation

     

    Experience writing and analyzing complex queries in SQL

     

    Experience with a database (Snowflake preferred)

     

    Experience with a test management tool (Jira preferred)

     

    Experience with a test automation tool such as Testrail.

     

    Experience with DBT.

     

    Strong documentation skills.

     

    Ability to work independently and with teams. Experience with a database migration.
