• Senior Cloud Network Engineer

    Job Description

    Insight Global is looking for a seasoned Cloud Network Engineer proficient in GCP, AWS, Azure networking, load balance, and firewall. This individual will be able to design, develop, document, and implement enterprise network technologies across a hybrid footprint. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud network engineering, PA FW, Cisco routing, external DNS and FIP VIP and BipIP and have managed migrations from on prem to cloud environments.

     

    This role is a 50% Network Engineering support role and 50% Network Architecture / Design. This individual needs to come in understanding how to plan, design and implement networks from scratch. The projects they will be assigned to are building out data center networks, building out new campus networks and designing cloud networks.

    Responsibilities:

    • Design and manage secure network infrastructure for cloud and on-prem environments

    • Architect resilient, scalable wireless and wired networks

    • Deploy and optimize F5 GSLB, BigIP/XC, and Palo Alto Prisma solutions

    • Automate network tasks and monitor performance across distributed systems

     

    This is a 50% network support position and 50% network design position. This person should be able to build out Data Center network from scratch

     

    Onsite Locations: Have to be available to be onsite (no definite days required)

    Skills and Requirements

    • 8-10 years of experience in enterprise network engineering (including LAN, wireless, WAN, SD-WAN and routing protocol design (Cisco), implementation and troubleshooting)

    • 8-10 years of experience in hybrid cloud networking (Google Cloud Platform) with experience migrating from on prem to the cloud

    • 8 years of experience with automation frameworks like Ansible, Terraform or SaltStacks for managing network devices

    • Extensive knowledge with the F5 suite including load balancing, VIPs, NX or DNS

    • Extensive knowledge with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash

    • Experience with Palo Alto's Strata and Prisma Cloud

    • CCNA, CCNP or Cloud Certification and Palo Alto certification
