    Job Description

    A client is looking for a Design and Analysis Engineer 3 to support the Electrical Subsystems team specifically in the area of Aircraft Power System Modeling and Simulation. This person will be responsible for assisting team members with modeling and simulating aircraft power systems, active and passive power conversion equipment, motor controllers, electric motors and generators, power distribution and protection equipment. The person will perform all necessary simulation work to assess system power quality, characterize failure modes of the equipment and the power system and to design and validate system protections. The person will also be responsible for assisting team members with technical requirements development. They will work extensively to develop and document complex electric power system requirements and will validate them through simulation and test.

    Skills and Requirements

    Must Haves:

    - Previous exp with electrical equipment systems design

     

    - In depth knowledge of electric power systems and modeling/ simulating them

    - Model based design and model based system engineering techniques and hands on experience with tools

    - BS or 5+ years exp in engineering OR MS and 3+ years OR PhD with some work experience. Degrees must be accredited.
