Job Description

Our client, a global leader in hospitality revenue management is looking for Senior Software Developer to shape the data backbone of our platform. This role will bring deep technical expertise and influence complex decisions. Your focus will be on data modeling, pipelines, APIs, and integrating analytical outputs into user interfaces and reports, while leveraging modern AI paradigms to build innovative solutions. This role will help modernize their flag ship product in preparation to integrate into their new product releasing in 2026. This role will be a utility player and work with 3 different teams to help with various parts of the modernization. This role is a 6 month contract-to-hire and they'd like this person to convert full time. This is an intracule part of their engineering team and will be looked to very technical expertise.

Their product uses advanced analytics and machine learning to forecast demand and optimize pricing for over 30,000 hotels, resorts, and casinos worldwide. Our clients rely's on passionate, creative engineers to keep them ahead of their competitors.

Skills and Requirements

7+ years in software development with full lifecycle ownership.

Deep understanding of software design and architecture patterns.

Strong proficiency in Java, REST, Spring, and microservices.

Hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, AWS, and IaaS tools (Terraform).

Experience building ETL pipelines using Java/Spring or Python (Pandas, Polars, PySpark).

Familiarity with performance optimization tools (e.g., Datadog).

Knowledge of agile methodologies and Jira for project tracking.

Familiarity with architecture notation and diagramming tools and capable of communicating complex concepts through storytelling and visuals Experience with AWS Data tools (Glue, Redshift) and orchestration frameworks (Airflow, Step Functions).

Deep knowledge of data modeling for analytics (3NF, Vault, Star Schema).

Practical experience applying generative AI and agentic tools in development.
