Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY TRAINING SPECIALIST in the SURFACE WARFARE SCHOOLS COMMAND, of SURFACE WARFARE OFFICERS SCHOOL. Responsibilities You will serve as Deputy Director within the Senior Officer Training Directorate (SWOSN75). You will make recommendations on existing tactical training techniques to improve capabilities across all surface ships mission areas. You will develop and maintain instructions, presentations, user manuals, and training guides for both external and internal reference. You will advise, counsel, or instruct employees on work and administrative matters. You will develop curriculum and courseware budgetary recommendations for consolidation and out-year planning. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Advise and provide support to the Senior Officer Training Director on all matters related to the management of personnel and the effective education of future commanding officers of Naval warships; 2) Ability to network and build working relationships with all major stakeholders in the collective training track of Prospective Executive Officers and Commanding Officers of Naval warships; 3) Supervise three post command Commanders in the development, maintenance, and delivery of curriculum to prospective executive officers, commanding officers, and major commanding officers; 4) Monitor directorate adherence to Navy and command level instructions and policies; and 5) Evaluate staff performance, both military and civilian, ensuring all performance-related reports and applicable awards are processed on time and in accordance with applicable guidance.
