Responsibilities:
+ Develop and implement manufacturing flow lines, work station layouts and organization, and station controls, which optimize value added operations, operating costs, and product / process quality
+ Evaluate and execute innovative, cost effective, safe, manufacturing processes and techniques which will improve the effectiveness of the manufacturing operations and business systems
+ Find opportunities to employ process automation and present project justification for capital expenditures to improve productivity, quality, equipment performance, energy consumption, and downtime reduction.
+ Provide technical expertise and leadership for the timely resolution of manufacturing process and product design problems. Serve as a resource for cause / effect analyses, investigations, statistical studies, and corrective action planning.

+ Support RIE/Kaizen events with ideas and tangible OPEX application
+ Provide periodic training and feedback for proper assembly or lean tools for various production departments
+ Propose design change requests for improved manufacturability and standardization.
+ Review Deviations and Design Change Notices for feasibility in existing manufacturing process
Key Competencies:
+ Manufacturing engineering knowledge.
+ Knowledge of manufacturing machinery within the plants and any complimentary certifications.
+ Knowledge and ability to use various hand tools.
+ Ability to identify areas for improvement and problem solve.
+ Willing to train by working alongside production team members.
+ Ability to work in a team setting and demonstrate a positive work attitude
+ Actively practices and promotes safety.
Requirements:
+ Familiarity with the Lean philosophy.
+ Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
+ Strong mathematical skills.
+ Ability to train others.
+ Basic knowledge of various Microsoft Office applications.
+ 2 yr technical degree or current pursuit of technical degree a plus
