Overview
The Associate Media Director oversees the team's tactical planning and investment initiatives and will support our client with monitoring of digital-focused, integrated media plans to secure the best investment options in a variety of channels to maximize audience reach. The ideal candidate will bring forth a strong point of view and passion for the client's mission and will be a thoughtful decision maker. Must haves include at least 5 years of relevant media experience and expert level knowledge of digital media investment and strategy with a minimum of two years of experience leading a team and a strong track record of building and managing relationships.
The Associate Media Director will be the day to day lead for the brand, being a pivotal thought leader and business partner for cross channel strategy and activation (Social, OLV, Display/Programmatic, content experiences). In order to be successful, this person needs to have expert level knowledge of digital planning/buying and reporting across content programs, precision, social and digital media with the ability to be an innovative, creative and a big-picture thinker (out of box, non-traditional) . Responsibilities
+ Tactically planning campaigns:
+ Setting a clear vision on how tactical elements deliver on strategy
+ Strong integration and partnership with the Strategy Director on the business
+ Identifying/Exploring innovative opportunities and media solutions
+ Negotiating plan details
+ Stay up to speed on new/innovative market opportunities – in the industry overall as well as specific to retail
+ Staying up-to-date of the marketplace & understanding of client business
+ Establishing relationships with client, Creative Agency, PR agency, and cross functional disciplines at client from Brand, PR, and Media teams
+ Proactively find new or better ways of working
+ Execute campaigns (inclusive of QAing)/working with Precision teams and oversee optimizations/campaign maintenance
+ Oversee reporting on performance (wrap-ups & weekly reporting)
+ Manage a team of Associates, Sr. Associates, and Supervisors
+ Manage client interaction on a regular basis – presenting over the phone, managing status calls, written communication
+ Creating and asserting POVs along with presenting to clients and internal stakeholders
+ Strategic & critical thinking to creatively solve complex problems
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing, advertising, communications, applied mathematics, consumer insights or related field
+ 5+ years of directly related experience and 2+ years of management experience
+ Digital media expertise including social, display, OLV, content programs / targeting
+ Expert knowledge of digital investment and activation across all online channels
+ Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to detect and translate a story behind numbers/data
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to translate and present complicated ideas in a simple, and easy to understand yet inspirational /creative style
+ Willingness to learn and create solutions that challenge the status quo
+ Exceptional critical thinking and problem solving abilities with the ability to think unconventionally in proposing solutions
+ Negotiation and influence skills – steeped in required industry, brand, and competitive knowledge
+ A proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects effectively and work well under pressure to deliver high quality work within tight deadlines
+ Strong process development skills
+ Robust experience with client interaction
+ An intrinsic passion for new technology and utilization of social media tools to engage and inspire new solutions for clients
+ Proven experience in effectively coaching and developing others

The benefits offerings listed are available to U.S. based employees, are reviewed on an annual basis, and are governed by the terms of the applicable plan documents.
Compensation Range: $95,950.00- $150,995.00, annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
