Position Summary
Assistant / Associate Professor Health Programs Board Eligible/Board Certified position involves inpatient and outpatient surgical patient care. The Michigan State University division of urology seeks board eligible / board certified candidate for a full time, Associate / Assistant Professor faculty position in the urologic surgery division. We have a growing clinical program that provides a broad range of opportunities for clinical practice, teaching, and research. The position includes a strong clinical focus on inpatient and outpatient surgical patient care, with active participation in the clinical education of urologic surgery residents within an ACGME accredited, urologic surgery residency program, as well as education of diverse medical students at Michigan State University. Urology faculty provide clinical care and procedures in MSU Health Care Urology Clinic. Inpatient care and surgical procedures are performed at local hospitals and ASC. Local hospitals are fully equipped with state-of-the-art urologic instrumentation, including DaVinci robots with teaching consoles to support residents educational needs. Each hospital supports high volume urology case volumes. The MSU Division of Urology has an established clinical program that provides a broad range of opportunities for clinical practice, teaching, and research. MSU's health colleges (Osteopathic Medicine, Human Medicine, Nursing, and Veterinary Medicine) collaborate to provide high quality medical care, research, and education.

Required Degree
Doctorate -Urological Surgery
Minimum Requirements
DO or MD License in Michigan, Board Eligible or Board Certified in urological surgery.

Summary of Health Risks
Exposure to human blood, serum, tissue and other body fluids; and materials covered under Universal Precautions. TB risk or work within 3 feet of human patients in a health care setting or have potential exposure to animals or to specimens with Mycobacterium. Risks that have been identified by Environmental Health and Safety, such as exposure to chemotherapy, formaldehyde, etc.
