Job Summary: Supports the development and delivery of the YGS Youth, Family, and Community Services plan by assisting in the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs that meet emerging community needs. Working closely with YMCA staff across multiple locations, the position helps pilot new service offerings and ensures program quality and consistency through regular on-site visits and adherence to YMCA best practices.
Minimum compensation: $32.00-36.00/hr DOE

Responsibilities
+ Support the design and implementation of the YGS Youth, Family and Community services plan.
+ Support the design and pilot implementation of new service offerings that support youth, family and community needs through partnership with staff at YMCA locations.
+ Professionally engages with parents/guardians to provide pertinent information about their child’s experience and to promote upcoming programs.
+ Maintains required records according to YMCA standards.
+ Compiles program statistics and provides reports as required for assigned programs. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of and participation in programs.
+ Ensures that safety procedures are followed and that all programs are in compliance with YMCA best practices and any other applicable standards through on-site visits.
+ Attends staff meetings and trainings as required. May support logistics of meetings and trainings.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
+ 21 years of age or older.
+ High school graduate or equivalent.
+ Three (3) years or more of experience working in youth development programs.
+ One (1) year or more of supervisory experience in a youth development program.
+ Strong customer service skills, responding to multiple questions by phone, email and in person. Ability to problem solve and resolve conflict.
+ Strong computer skills and experience working with word processing, spreadsheet and database software.
+ Demonstrated attention to detail and confidentiality of evaluative information.
+ Knowledge of standard office equipment such as copiers and phone systems.
+ Current state approved first-aid certification.*
+ Current state approved infant/child (or community if school aged) CPR certification.*
* At hire, or earliest possible training (but no later than 90 days after employment).
Preferred Qualifications:
+ College degree. Other applicable education, training, and experience, which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position will be considered.
+ One (1) year or more of demonstrated experience in program development and implementation.
+ Prior experience in training coordination and implementation
+ Knowledge of and previous experience with diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.).
+ Ability to speak any language in addition to English may be helpful.
+ Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position may be considered.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

REGULAR WORKING CONDITIONS
+ Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions.
+ This is a full-time position and hours of work and days may change depending on program needs. Evening and weekend work is required as job duties demand.
+ Travel is primarily local, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
