Job Description
Directly and through staff, manages and coordinates recovery operations across assigned functional areas. Ensures quality service and effective support for internal and external customers, including borrowers, internal stakeholders, and regulatory agencies. Provides strategic leadership by setting clear goals, monitoring progress, and fostering accountability and engagement among team members. Oversees compliance with corporate policies, investor guidelines, and applicable laws and regulations while maintaining a robust control environment. Demonstrates expertise in recovery strategies, loan and lease servicing, and end-of-term lease obligations. Utilizes reporting capabilities and basic technical skills to interpret key business metrics, identify trends, and support data-driven decisions. Partners with technology teams to evaluate and enhance operational systems, implement process improvements, and assist with technology conversions. Effectively presents complex information and recommendations to senior leaders. Champions innovation and agility by introducing creative solutions and process enhancements to meet evolving business needs. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to evaluate and enhance operational systems, implement process improvements, and support technology conversions.
Job Profile Summary
Manages and coordinates operational activities within consumer default servicing and recovery operations, ensuring efficient processes, regulatory compliance, and a strong control environment. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of asset recovery strategies, loan and lease servicing, and call center operations. Responsible for driving operational excellence through innovation, agility, and outside-the-box thinking. Builds and sustains high-performing teams by fostering engagement, satisfaction, and accountability. Partners with senior leadership to present key metrics and insights that drive business decisions. Maintains a sound control environment to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with corporate policies and applicable regulations. Additionally, the role requires foundational reporting and technical acumen to effectively analyze operational data, leverage reporting tools, and collaborate on technology-driven process improvements.
Basic Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
+ Typically five or more years of relevant experience
+ Preferred Skills/Experience
+ Thorough knowledge of operational functions, systems, procedures, various products and/or services supported by the assigned area(s)
+ Understanding of applicable Federal and State laws and regulations
+ Thorough knowledge of applicable products, programs, financial analysis and related documentation as applicable
+ Good organizational, managerial and project management skills
+ Well-developed customer relations skills
+ Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
+ Excellent supervisory and management skills
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks
Preferred Skills/Experience
+ Deep knowledge of servicing operations, asset recovery strategies, and regulatory and corporate compliance
+ Strong understanding of applicable federal and state laws
+ Expertise in loan and lease servicing, including end-of-term lease obligations
+ Ability to analyze and leverage key business metrics to drive performance
+ Foundational reporting and technical acumen, including experience with reporting tools, data interpretation, and collaboration on technology initiatives
+ Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, and foster employee engagement and satisfaction
+ Excellent organizational, project management, and analytical skills
+ Strong customer service orientation and relationship management skills
+ Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, including presenting to senior leadership

Location expectations
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $86,360.00 - $101,600.00
