Who We Are
Student Affairs Planning, Assessment & Research (SAPAR) is one of 13 departments in the Division of Student Affairs (DSA) at Texas A&M University (http://sapar.tamu.edu) and is one of the oldest and largest student affairs assessment offices in the country. Through the 300+ assessment projects we conduct annually, we lead DSA staff and student organizations in gathering and communicating information, making data-informed decisions, and improving the student experience. SAPAR actively trains and collaborates with others in the planning and assessment processes to strengthen the division and the people we serve. Our work is highly interactive with stable work hours.

Student Affairs Planning, Assessment & Research is seeking an Assessment Coordinator with experience in assisting departments and student organizations with their assessment needs, developing assessment instruments, interpreting analyzed data, preparing written reports, and training others. What You Need to Know
Salary Range: $55,000 - $60,000/annually (commensurate to selected candidate's experience).

Qualifications
Required Education & Experience:
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Two years of program administration experience.
Preferred Education:
+ Master’s degree in student affairs, higher education, or similar.
Preferred Experience:
+ Assessment experience in student affairs or higher education.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
+ Verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Knowledge of Qualtrics, SPSS, Word Press.
Responsibilities
Assessment Design and Implementation:
+ Plans and implements requested assessment projects. This includes planning appropriate methods, developing content and questions to ask, and working within the internal departmental guidelines and process for instrument design and implementation.
Assessment Analysis and Reporting:
+ Complies prepared analysis, writing reports, and maintains records of requested assessment projects. This includes working within the internal departmental guidelines and process for data analysis and writing summary reports and/or executive summaries.
Assessment Planning Assistance and Review:
+ Reviews departmental assessment plans. This includes reviewing departmental materials and providing feedback to departments on assessment reporting. This involves working with departments on their annual reports and university assessment plan reports.
Training/Presenting/Technology:
+ Train staff members and students related to their assessment projects. Develop and update training content and deliver training materials (workshops, presentations, webinars, etc.) for staff on specific assessment topics such as assessment methods, using results, and sharing assessment results.
Committee Work:
+ Serve on University and Division committees/teams
