About the Role:
As a CBRE Engineering Sr. Ops Manager, you will manage a team responsible for implementing, coordinating, and managing all complex mechanical operations for multiple facilities, campuses, or portfolio of buildings for one of our Global Tech client accounts.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
This role encompasses comprehensive management responsibilities including supervising employees and contractors, overseeing training and performance, and managing recruitment. This position involves coordinating daily team activities, establishing schedules, financial responsibilities and ensuring deadlines are met. This role requires coordinating with clients, applying broad business knowledge and leading my example, while driving process improvements and problem solving within the department.
What You’ll Do:
+ Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
+ Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
+ Assist team with difficult operations and maintenance issues.
+ Manage contractors, subcontractors and engineers on entire maintenance aspect.
+ Supervise and oversee the daily operation of facility controls and asset management systems.
+ Establish bidding procedures as required for contract maintenance activities.
+ Develop annual operating budgets. Evaluate, forecast, and manage operations and maintenance costs for multiple locations.
+ Schedule maintenance activities complying with customer operational requirements.
+ Integrate with clients for reconfiguration, changes and operational requirements
+ Apply a broad knowledge of the business, own discipline, and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
+ Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence others to adopt a different point of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans.
+ Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity.
+ Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department.
+ Improve and change existing methods, processes and standards within job discipline.
What You’ll Need:
+ Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
+ Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
+ Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
+ Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.
+ In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
+ Experience preferred in developing and managing organizational budgets.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Sr. Engineering Operations Manager position is $130,475 annually and the maximum salary for the Sr. Engineering Operations Manager position is $150,500 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
