    The Facilities Technology Manager leads the strategy, design, and implementation of building systems technology across all corporate-owned facilities. Responsibilities include developing long-term technology strategies, overseeing automation and building systems, managing the CAFM platform, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. This role serves as a critical liaison between Facilities and cross-functional partners such as IT and Safety & Security. Decisions made in this role have significant impact on operational efficiency, energy consumption, and occupant experience.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Leadership & Team Development: Build and lead a high-performing team; recruit, coach, and develop technical talent.

    + Technology Strategy: Define and execute long-range strategies for building automation, fire systems, controls, AV, electrical, lighting, low-voltage, and CAFM systems.

    + Project Management: Oversee design, engineering, and installation of complex systems; manage scope, objectives, and requirements for major projects.

    + Budget Oversight: Manage a $300K annual operating budget and influence capital investments up to $2M per project.

    + Systems Analysis: Monitor performance, obsolescence, and opportunities for improvement; act as an internal consultant for facilities technology.

    + Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with IT, Information Security, Security, and Procurement to ensure alignment and compliance.

    + Vendor Management: Select and manage external consultants and contractors for specialized projects.

    + Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to all applicable laws, codes, and standards.

    + Sustainability: Implement energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives in building systems.

    Required Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

    + Minimum 6 years of experience in facilities technology or building systems engineering.

    + Proven leadership and project management skills.

    + Advanced technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, lighting, fire systems, AV, and CAFM platforms. Experience with Siemens Desigo and Lutron is a plus.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

    + Ability to interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.

    + Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to present complex concepts to non-technical audiences.

    + Physical ability to handle equipment up to 50 lbs in confined spaces.

    + Familiarity with IoT-enabled building systems and smart building technologies.

    + Knowledge building commissioning processes.

    + Professional certifications such as CEM (Certified Energy Manager) or CCP (Certified Commissioning Professional) preferred.

    + Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.

    + Ability to resolve complex problems and make strategic decisions under ambiguity.

    + Willingness to travel for site visits, product demos, and training.

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $104,063.00 - $140,793.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
