    **Location:** Houston, TX

    **Pay Range:** $116,251 – $174,366 (commensurate with experience)

    **Bonus:** Annual Performance Bonus up to 17.5%; Sign-On Bonus Case by Case

    **ED Size:** 52 beds in main ER plus 2 freestanding emergency departments

    **Direct Reports:** 3 Managers, ER Director, ~150 FTEs

    **Annual Visits:** 80,000+ across 3 sites

    Position Summary

    The Administrative Director of Emergency Services ensures patient-centered, high-quality care across multiple emergency care sites. This leader drives departmental strategy, fosters a culture of accountability and engagement, manages performance, and supports clinical, operational, and financial goals.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Advance clinical quality by enforcing evidence-based practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, developing quality improvement strategies, and driving accountability for patient safety and outcomes.

    + Lead the development and implementation of patient throughput strategies, including capacity planning and patient flow initiatives.

    + Champion unparalleled patient experiences through feedback, benchmarking, and service improvement strategies.

    + Foster a culture rooted in the organization's mission and values by developing staff, recognizing achievements, offering coaching, and building team engagement.

    + Collaborate to enhance existing service lines and develop new opportunities for growth and differentiation.

    + Oversee financial performance including budget development, forecasting, staffing, and utilization/cost management.

    + Maintain effective labor management, and ensure productivity and staff scheduling optimize patient care.

    + Represent the organization positively within the community and lead by example for professional standards and conduct.

    Reporting Structure:

    + Reports to Chief Operating Officer

    + Directly supports ER Director and three managers

    Qualifications

    + 3+ years recent acute care ED leadership experience (Director or Manager in a large or complex ED)

    + BSN required; MSN preferred

    + Demonstrates results in discharge LOS, patient experience, throughput, and improved operational processes

    + Strong experience overseeing large teams, multiple locations, and matrixed environments

    + Current or previous trauma center leadership experience preferred

    + Track record of improving quality, safety, service, and financial metrics

    + Experience working in complex, high-volume emergency departments (large hospital or system-level background preferred)

    **Pay Details:** $116,251.00 to $174,366.00 per year
