    **Position Title:** RN Manager – Cardiac Medical Unit

    **Location:** Portsmouth, NH

    **Position Type:** Full-Time | Day Shift (No Weekends)

    **Specialty:** Nursing Administration / Cardiac Unit Leadership

    **Compensation:** $47.30 – $56.31 – $65.20 per hour (based on years of experience)

    Position Overview

    The RN Manager of the Cardiac Medical Unit is responsible for overseeing daily unit operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered cardiac care. Working collaboratively with nursing leadership, this role supports departmental growth, patient satisfaction, physician relationships, and fiscal responsibility. The RN Manager provides direct leadership to clinical staff and promotes a culture of safety, quality, and clinical excellence within a cardiac-focused inpatient environment.

    Unit Overview

    + Cardiac Medical inpatient unit

    + Acute care setting with a focus on cardiac and cardiovascular patient populations

    + Collaborative, interdisciplinary care model

    Key Responsibilities

    + Maintain expert clinical knowledge related to cardiac nursing practice

    + Manage daily unit operations including staffing, scheduling, patient flow, and patient rounding

    + Ensure a positive patient care experience and high patient satisfaction

    + Support staff competency development and ongoing education

    + Participate in hiring, onboarding, and retention of nursing staff

    + Evaluate employee performance, complete annual evaluations, and implement performance improvement plans

    + Address employee relations issues, including coaching and corrective action when necessary

    + Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and professional nursing practice standards

    + Monitor patient outcomes, quality indicators, and daily core measures

    + Support budget management and cost-effective use of unit resources

    + Oversee supply management and inventory control

    + Perform additional duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    + 1–3 years of acute care nursing experience required

    + **Cardiac nursing experience required**

    + Prior charge nurse or leadership experience preferred

    + Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred

    + Current RN license in the state of practice or valid compact state RN license required

    + Strong leadership, clinical judgment, and communication skills

    **Pay Details:** $47.30 to $65.20 per hour
