**Location:** Fredericksburg, VA
**Pay Rate:** $48.44 - $70.50/hour (based on years of experience)
**Schedule:** Full-Time | Days | No Weekends
**Department Oversight:** 4 ORs, 12 Pre-op bays, Pre-op/PAT/PACU/Endoscopy
**Direct Reports:** 3 Pre-admission Testing nurses, 1 front desk coordinator
Position Summary
The RN Manager, PACU provides 24-hour leadership, coordination, and oversight for the Same Day Surgery, Pre-admission Testing, PACU, and Endoscopy departments, ensuring consistently high standards of patient care. This position is responsible for effective resource management, clinical practice standards, team development, staffing, scheduling, and compliance with all regulatory and risk management requirements.
Key Responsibilities
+ Oversee daily operations in Pre-op, PAT, PACU, and Endoscopy, including scheduling, staffing, productivity, and resource utilization
+ Monitor and manage the perioperative schedule, staff assignments, equipment, and supply use
+ Maintain monthly staff schedules and staffing levels to ensure care quality and compliance
+ Promote supply chain and process improvement initiatives; act as a steward of departmental resources
+ Analyze and report key statistical and quality data for perioperative services
+ Lead and participate in performance improvement and risk management activities
+ Uphold patient, staff, and facility rights by modeling legal and ethical healthcare practices
+ Maintain a high level of clinical expertise and adapt to new nursing trends and technologies
+ Foster strong interdepartmental relationships and a collaborative environment
+ Own environment of care standards for surgery departments and ensure ongoing staff competency and professional development
Qualifications
+ **Managerial/Supervisory Experience Required**
+ Minimum two (2) years recent department-specific clinical experience
+ Charge nurse or previous supervisory experience in surgical services preferred
+ Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN required, MSN preferred
+ Current RN license in Virginia
+ BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross) required

**Pay Details:** $48.44 to $70.50 per hour
