    Position Overview

    We are seeking a skilled Medical Technician to join a fast-paced hospital laboratory team. This role is ideal for a motivated lab professional who thrives in independent work environments while delivering accurate, high-quality diagnostic results that directly support patient care.

     

    **Location** : Bradenton, FL (Onsite)

    **Schedule** : Full-Time | Evenings & Nights (Rotating Weekends)

    **Pay Range** $22.39 – $31.34/hour (Based on experience)

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform stat and routine clinical laboratory testing in licensed technical areas

    • Ensure compliance with laboratory procedures, policies, and regulatory standards

    • Apply laboratory medicine principles using independent judgment

    • Maintain competency in Blood Bank, Chemistry, and Hematology

    • Perform specimen collection, processing, and referral testing as needed

    • Support departmental goals related to quality, compliance, patient safety, and workflow efficiency

    • Serve as a reliable team member during evening and night shifts, including weekends

    Qualifications

    • National certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP preferred)

    • Active Florida State Medical Technologist license (minimum 3 lab areas required)

    • Associate Degree in Medical Technology required; Bachelor’s preferred

    • 3+ years of hospital laboratory experience preferred (Blood Bank experience a plus)

    • Strong critical-thinking and decision-making skills

    • Comfortable working independently and covering all lab areas

    • Collaborative team player in a fast-paced environment

    **Pay Details:** $22.39 to $31.34 per hour
