    **Position Title:** RN Manager – Surgery

    **Location:** Portsmouth, NH

    **Position Type:** Full-Time | Day Shift (No Weekends)

    **Specialty:** Nursing Administration / Operating Room Leadership

    Compensation:

    $47.30 – $56.31 – $65.20 per hour (based on years of experience)

    Position Overview

    The RN Manager of Surgical Services provides leadership and oversight for operating room clinical staff and daily surgical operations. This role partners closely with surgical leadership to ensure high-quality patient care, staff development, physician collaboration, and fiscal responsibility. The RN Manager supports a culture of safety, quality, and patient-centered care while aligning departmental operations with organizational goals.

     

    This position may be well suited for an experienced Operating Room Charge Nurse ready to advance into a management role.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Provide clinical and operational leadership for the Operating Room

    + Oversee daily operations including staffing, scheduling, patient flow, and patient satisfaction

    + Collaborate with clinical coordinators and educators to support staff competency and professional development

    + Support admission and discharge coordination within Surgical Services

    + Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard new team members

    + Evaluate employee performance, conduct annual reviews, and implement development plans

    + Address employee relations issues, including coaching and corrective action when necessary

    + Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and professional nursing practice standards

    + Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes and quality indicators

    + Assist with departmental budgeting and resource management

    + Foster effective collaboration with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and leadership

    Department Highlights

    + Multiple operating rooms

    + Multidisciplinary team including RNs, surgical technologists, first assistants, and OR support staff

    + Direct leadership responsibility for clinical staff

    Qualifications

    + 1–3 years of Operating Room RN experience required

    + Prior leadership or charge nurse experience preferred

    + Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred

    + Current RN license in the state of practice required

    + Strong clinical, leadership, and communication skills

    **Pay Details:** $47.30 to $65.20 per hour
