    Seeking Onsite Cost Control Specialist for Energy EPC on a ground up power generation facility power by natural gas in Bowling Green OH.

     

    Must be willing to be onsite in Bowling Green, OH (Per Diem Offered)

     

    Will be working 60 hours a week

    Job Description

    As a Project Controls Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting project managers by developing and maintaining accurate budgets and schedules. Your focus will be on monitoring project progress to ensure alignment with financial and timeline goals, and coordinating project activities to promote efficient execution and communication across teams. You will be working on-site at large power generation projects, specifically gas-to-power plants.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop and maintain accurate project budgets and schedules.

    + Monitor project progress to ensure alignment with financial and timeline goals.

    + Compile and manage project documentation including invoices, budgets, and forecasts.

    + Coordinate project activities to promote efficient execution and communication across teams.

    + Engage in cost control, cost analysis, and earned value management.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

    + Knowledge of accounting principles and business operations.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

    + Familiarity with project management and cost control systems.

    + Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

    + Ability to interpret data to drive process improvements.

    + Collaboration and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a team and independently under deadlines.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience in construction and power generation projects.

    + Understanding of the cost reimbursable model.

    + Occasional travel to project sites is required.

    Work Environment

    You will work on-site at large construction sites, specifically in job trailers. The work schedule consists of 6x10 hour days. The projects are multi-year and involve a large amount of civil, underground, electrical, and mechanical work. You will be part of a team with 2-3 Project Engineers, along with a Construction Manager, Quality, and Safety personnel. The position offers trips home every 4-5 weeks for a long weekend and includes eligibility for bonuses and profit-sharing. The locations are primarily in the Midwest, including Bowling Green, Brownsville, and Houston.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bowling Green, OH.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $48.00/hr.
