Job Title: Electrical Quality Control InspectorJob Description
The Electrical Quality Control Inspector is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the commissioning process for data center facilities. The role ensures all systems operate as intended and meet design specifications. This position involves managing commissioning activities across electrical, mechanical, and control systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.
Responsibilities
+ Develop and manage commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures for data center projects.
+ Oversee functional testing of critical systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, UPS, generators, fire suppression, and monitoring systems.
+ Ensure integration and interoperability of all systems prior to handover.
+ Collaborate with design engineers, construction teams, vendors, and clients to align commissioning activities with project timelines.
+ Conduct regular progress meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders.
+ Verify installation and performance against design specifications and operational requirements.
+ Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards (ASHRAE, IEEE), and client-specific guidelines.
+ Prepare detailed commissioning reports, test results, and issue logs.
+ Maintain accurate records for turnover and future maintenance reference.
+ Identify potential risks during commissioning and implement mitigation strategies.
+ Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
Essential Skills
+ Data Center Experience
+ Commissioning Experience
+ Experience with Switchgears, UPS/ATS, Generators, and Chillers
+ Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
+ Excellent project management and organizational skills
+ Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
+ Proficiency in commissioning software and tools
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field)
+ 5+ years in commissioning, preferably in mission-critical facilities or data centers
+ Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP)
+ LEED Accredited Professional or equivalent project management certification
Work Environment
The position is based on a Data Center site in Manassas, VA. The role is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity, offering comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k) options.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ashburn, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $175000.00/hr.
