Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team in Brooklyn, New York. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and a solid background in individual tax preparation. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to a trusted CPA firm while utilizing your expertise to ensure compliance and accuracy for clients.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare individual tax returns with precision and adherence to current tax laws.

• Utilize Lacerte Tax software to efficiently process and manage tax documents.

• Review financial records, statements, and other relevant information to determine tax obligations.

• Identify potential deductions and credits to maximize client benefits.

• Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and clarify any discrepancies.

• Ensure timely submission of tax filings to meet deadlines.

• Stay updated on changes to tax regulations and policies.

• Collaborate with other team members to address complex tax scenarios.

• Provide exceptional service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

• Maintain organized records and documentation for auditing purposes. Requirements • Proven experience in individual tax preparation.

• Proficiency in using Lacerte Tax software.

• Strong understanding of current tax laws and regulations.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

• Capable of handling sensitive financial information with confidentiality.

• Adept at meeting strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Certification or relevant qualifications in tax preparation are preferred.
