Description We are looking for an experienced Grant Accountant to oversee the financial administration of grants and sponsored programs. This role is essential for ensuring compliance with funding agreements, regulatory guidelines, and organizational policies. The ideal candidate will manage budgeting, reporting, and reconciliation processes to maintain accurate financial records. This is a Contract position based in Alpharetta, Georgia.

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze grant agreements to ensure compliance with financial and reporting requirements.

• Monitor expenditures to confirm alignment with budgetary restrictions and allowable costs.

• Prepare and manage detailed budgets in collaboration with program managers for all grant-funded projects.

• Generate accurate financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for internal and external stakeholders.

• Record and reconcile grant-related transactions within the general ledger to ensure accuracy.

• Track revenue recognition and deferred revenue for grant funding.

• Ensure timely submission of invoices and drawdown requests to funding agencies.

• Support external and internal audits by maintaining organized documentation and providing necessary records.

• Implement and uphold robust internal controls for grant accounting processes.

• Assist in forecasting and financial planning for projects supported by grants. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in grant management or accounting.

• Strong knowledge of fund administration and government grant regulations.

• Proficiency in accounting software such as Abila MIP and expertise in NAV (Net Asset Value) reporting.

• Familiarity with financial compliance standards for grants and sponsored programs.

• Ability to prepare detailed budgets and financial reports for diverse stakeholders.

• Excellent analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

• Experience in reconciling financial transactions and maintaining general ledger records.

• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
