• Transportation Management System (TMS) Consultant

    Description

    This role is responsible for delivering end-to-end Transportation Management System (TMS) solutions, partnering closely with business and IT stakeholders to design, configure, and optimize transportation workflows. The consultant will lead system implementations, integrations, and ongoing enhancements while serving as the primary liaison between users, developers, and technical teams.

     

    Key responsibilities include system configuration, process mapping, data analysis, testing, and user enablement across multiple transportation modes. The position also supports transportation cost analysis, contract interpretation, and integration design to ensure scalable, efficient logistics operations.

    Requirements

    Experience delivering or supporting Transportation Management Systems in a consulting or analyst capacity

     

    Hands-on experience configuring TMS platforms and supporting custom integrations

     

    Strong understanding of transportation operations across LTL, Truckload, Ocean, and Air

     

    Experience performing transportation data analysis (costs, lanes, volumes, regions, modes)

     

    Ability to lead UAT, create test plans, training materials, and support system rollouts

     

    Experience serving as a liaison between business users and development teams

     

    Familiarity with contract interpretation, tariffs, and data controls

     

    Experience with XML, SQL, EDI, and system integrations preferred

    Exposure to tools such as MercuryGate TMS, SMC3, FedEx/UPS APIs, and Microsoft Office strongly preferred
